Drills, Taps and Tapping Tools
The majority of studs in America are the 3/8" coarse thread style. Some 5/16" are used on ponies and occasionally we find the larger 7/16" on Draft Horses.
We try to cover your needs in preparing the holes for all these plus the taper holes for drive in studs.
Some drill bits are straight through where others have a shoulder or Step so that a countersink can be drilled at the same time as the main hole.
We also carry several brands of punches for punching a "third" hole or punching fullered shoes.
