Traction Nails
Traction nails are not quite as strong as studs with carbide tips or borium welded directly onto the shoe but they can be very useful as a shorter term anti slip solution.
They can be added part way through the shoeing cycle so as to save removing shoes. Just pull an odd nail and replace with a tipped nail. They are really only useful to help with anti-slip security on paved areas as there is not enough length to grip in dirt or grass conditions.
